This three-day in-depth course is designed for individuals responsible for training workers who may be involved in transporting, handling, shipping, receiving, or supplying dangerous goods by ground.
This WHMIS 2-Day Train the Trainer package provides you with all the tools you need in order to train and certify your colleagues, staff, or clients in the updated WHMIS handbook. As part of the package, you'll receive all the training tools you'll need including: presentation, instructor kit, and notes/activities to help you engage your students with activities and examples.
This course is the first step in training Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) members, participants must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 training to be certified. Ontario workplaces with 20 or more regular employees must have a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), with at least two Certified members: one representing workers, and one from management. Three-day course providing overall knowledge of health and safety that applies to all workplaces. Students will understand the relevant legislation as well as their legal rights and responsibilities as a JHSC member. Identifying common workplace hazards and the steps to assessing and controlling these hazards will prepare students to carry out workplace inspections, accident investigations and other functions of JHSC members.
This course is the second part of Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour. This mandatory course provides participants with an understanding of how to recognize, assess and control workplace hazards, the rights and duties of certified members, and how to conduct effective workplace inspections and incident investigations.
Training includes a review of key concepts in Part 1 and 2 of JHSC certification along with updates to legislation, standards, and best practices. The standard requires a Refresher every three (3) years to maintain your certification status. JHSC Refresher Training is required to maintain JHSC certification for anyone who became certified after March 1, 2016.
Supervisor training is legally required by the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations of Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Employers are obligated to ensure supervisors understand their role and responsibilities to workplace health and safety and to provide supervisors with adequate training.
